Highlights
When the leading law firm Addleshaw Goddard moved into newly refurbished offices at Milton Gate in the City of London, the firm required a storage solution to match the professional surroundings of its new headquarters. With 450 employees in the London office and regular employee visits from their Leeds and Manchester offices, a storage system would be required to cope with the consolidation of the firm’s two London offices into one, as well as providing room for expansion.
Addleshaw Goddard’s Head of Offices Services, said: “Bruynzeel’s response to that tender was innovative and their pricing competitive. Our decision to introduce the electronic system in shade design fitted our requirements of functionality and aesthetically complimented our new surroundings.”
Bruynzeel installed two Jacob Jensen-designed shade high density mobile shelving systems on each of the four office floors in the building, to reflect the firm’s professional and efficient approach. Every system has the added benefit of integrated automatic lighting, which illuminates only above the aisle that is open. A special RAL colour was chosen for all the Bruynzeel shelving to match the existing office furniture. At installation, the system was designed to be just 55% full, to allow for further growth. A new file tracking system was implemented for documents using barcodes and colour-coded folders, supplied by Bruynzeel as part of a turnkey solution. In the basement at Milton Gate, Bruynzeel installed a mechanical, hand-cranked high density shelving system in Shade design to house the secure deeds storage area (total capacity 1,148 linear metres). Installation in the basement was made significantly more challenging by the low ceiling height due to cables and ducting.
