Electronic

Photocells

Photocells are installed at the bottom of the mobile base depending on the weight and length of the mobile carriage. If the light beam is blocked by an object or person, the unit will automatically stop.

Electronic

Blockage Detection (MCMS)

Motor Current Monitoring System (MCMS), with active retraction. The system is able to detect an increase in pressure against a moving mobile carriage. If this increase is detected the mobile carriage will perform a safety stop and retract approximately 100mm to ensure that persons or objects are not injured and/or entrapped.

Electronic

Emergency Stop

All mobile carriages are equipped with a control panel that allows users to stop the system at any time. Either by moving the handle or pressing the stop button on any control panel, the system will come to a complete stop.

Electronic

Visual Safety (Passive Safety)

This feature ensures users check if an open aisle is occupied by someone else and requires confirmation that the aisle is clear by touching both control panels on either side of the open aisle. Once confirmed, the system permits the user to open another aisle.

Mechanical Safety Features

The safety features of mechanical mobile shelving systems are designed to protect people, prevent accidents, and ensure smooth operation. These features make the system secure and easy to use, prioritizing safety at all times.

Mechanical

Mechanical Safety Master

Our mechanical mobile systems are equipped with a safety bar that spans the entire length of the mobile unit. The bar can be pressed at any point along its length to bring the unit to an immediate, yet controlled stop.

Aisle lock

Mechanical

Aisle Lock

To ensure safety, aisles can be locked to prevent any movement. Bruynzeel provides various locking options. You can lock an aisle using the push-and-pull lock built into the hand crank or opt for an integrated key lock, which also offers overall access control.

Safety Buffer

Mechanical

Safety Buffer

All mobile carriages are fitted with a safety buffer that maintains even gaps between them when closed, preventing accidental injuries to users.

Mechanical

Torque Limiter

The mobile carriage's driving system includes a torque limiter. If too much force is applied to the hand crank, the handcrank slips to stop the handle from rebounding. This helps prevent injuries and protects the system from damage.
