Johnson Controls is a global diversified company in the building and automotive industries. It serves these markets through three business units: building efficiency, Automotive Experience and Power Solutions. Johnson Controls create quality products, services and solutions to optimise energy and operational efficiencies of buildings; lead-acid automotive batteries and advanced batteries for hybrid and electric vehicles; and interior systems for vehicles. In the course of the renovation of the main administrative department, the firm Johnson Controls VB in Hannover (formerly Varta Automotive) established a new archive to meet the increased need for storage space.

The solution

To make daily work easier, Johnson chose Bruynzeel’s mobile shelving system. The system has the possibility of securely storing confidential information by assigning different aisles to specific users or departments. The lighting system in shelving units, featuring low power mode, was integrated into the low-energy lighting system for the whole building, resulting in significant energy savings.
